Safety

Mains Supply (1)

  • Ordinary 220/230 volt circuits are the most common cause of fatal electrical accidents
  • Power to the amateur’s station should be controlled by a double pole master switch which breaks the live and neutral.  Its location and purpose should be known to all family or club members
  • A Residual Current Device (RCD) which should be fitted in the mains feed to the station immediately after the master switch
