Safety

Antenna (Aerial) Safety (1)

  • There can be very high RF voltages on the ends of antennas.  Make sure they can not be touched by humans or animals as RF burns can occur
  • Installation should follow good engineering practice.  Be very aware and careful of overhead power lines and what may happen if the antenna breaks or falls
  • Towers, masts and rotators should be rated for the loads (including wind load) involved
